Sony Unveils New Camera Kit to Help the Visually Impaired
Sony Electronics has partnered with QD Laser on a new camera kit that will help people with visual impairments. The kit includes Sony’s DSC-HX99 compact camera and QD Laser’s Retissa Neoviewer viewfinder. The viewfinder uses laser retinal technology to project a digital image from the camera directly to the retina. Combined with Sony’s compact camera, the kit gives photographers a better view of landscapes, faces and signs. It also can take RAW format videos and allows for high-speed AF shooting.
In other news, AVB BrandSource’s 2023 Summit is set to take place in Las Vegas at the Caesars Forum Conference Center from March 19-22. This year’s theme is “Plug In,” which emphasizes the buying group’s retail services and solutions, as well as how easily they can be integrated into its members’ businesses. The summit will feature a full agenda of product trainings, region meetings and education sessions. A new course exploring the strategic, tactical and practical elements of running an appliance repair operation, called the Institute of Service Management, will also be available.
Lastly, Pioneer Elite has released a new flagship audio video receiver to its lineup of advanced electronics.
