Control4 Elevates Home Security Systems and Automation at ISC West

Snap One today introduced new Control4 solutions that advance the smart home security systems experience at ISC West 2021.

“Control4 marries security and automation so that partners can provide their customers with a simple, intuitive smart home experience that delivers complete peace-of-mind,” said Clint Choate, Snap One Security Market Director. “Our booth features several demos that showcase how security pros can leverage automation to build sophisticated, all-encompassing experiences for their customers.”
Debuting for the first time together since the merger in 2019, the Snap One stand features new products such as the all-new T4 Series Touchscreen that delivers a professional-grade smart home performance, and the Control4 Chime Video Doorbell that brings an unparalleled automation experience to the front door.

T4 Touchscreen and Home Security Systems

Continuing to evolve its portfolio of powerful smart home product offerings, Snap One unveiled the Control4 T4 In-Wall and Tabletop Touchscreens that feature a faster processor; brighter, higher resolution screens that automatically adjust to ambient light levels; upgraded speakers; and a new microphone array.

The touchscreen’s bright,1920×1200 high-resolution screen delivers a pristine display and an ambient light sensor allows auto screen brightness and dimming with varying ambient light levels. The line also includes improvements to intercom capabilities, processing speed and ease of installation. Additionally, with the power of OS 3, homeowners can use Access Agent to password-protect certain features to ensure environments are controlled by authorized users only in home security systems.

Chime Video Doorbell

Being demoed for the first time, Control4 Chime is the first video doorbell solution designed to leverage the capabilities of the sophisticated Control4 OS 3.  Chime delivers crystal clear video with a 5MP camera and 180-degree field of view and allows users to answer the doorbell by disarming the alarm, unlocking an electronic lock, opening a garage door, and more in a home security system.

Security Partners can create automated actions customized to the user. These actions can happen automatically based on motion or a doorbell press, or they can be user-initiated. Advanced motion detection with five adjustable zones keeps homeowners alerted to important movements around the front door, opting to receive important video notifications when movement is detected in a specific video zone, or when the doorbell is pressed.
